Ray Collins III
Ray Collins III is a dedicated public servant and community leader vying to represent the 117th District in the Connecticut General Assembly. Following in his father's footsteps, who served the district for two decades, Ray brings a legacy of commitment and service to his campaign.

With endorsements from retiring State Representative Charlies Ferraro and a track record of leadership, Ray is well-equipped to address the needs of his constituents. His extensive experience includes serving as Chairman of the Police Commission in West Haven and Vice Chair of the Emergency Response Services Commission. Additionally, his tenure on the Board of Education has given him valuable insights into the challenges facing the education system.

Beyond his official roles, Ray is deeply involved in his community, coaching youth sports and serving as a Trustee at the West Haven City Point Yacht Club. Ray lives in the West Shore section of West Haven with his wife Mara. He is the proud father of Raymond Collins IV, his two stepdaughters Marina Amorim and Raquel Matias, and grandfather of five.
